Does anyone know if the 08 inside door panels will fit into the excursions? I don't know if anyone has tried yet, or if anyone has an 08 superduty that they could take one off temporarily and test fit. I kinda like the 08 boxy look of the panels. Plus they have area to mount the power switch for the dream 08 powered mirrors that may be in my future somewhere. (that darn link to the parts warehouse cleanout got me thinking again about those power mirrors with the picture of the 08 door panels.)
I'd say only the front door panels would fit since the front doors on the Excursion are the same ones used on the 08 SuperDuties, although like Monsta mentioned the dahboard may interfere with the door panel. The back door panels won't fit at all since the Excursion and SuperDuty use different rear doors.
urban, those vent holes only direct air onto the window. they dont go into the door. as for the rear door panels, i thought it was the top side of the door that is the most different. anyone know if the 99-07 door panels from a crew cab are the same as the excursions?
Looks like the vent holes from dash to door would not line up from the pictures.
Once the doors are closed, the vents are still exposed. They don't line up to or feed into any portion of the door panel. They simply blow air onto the side windows.
I did know the door shells were different but I didn't really see that the doors are actually wider too. I thought that the difference was mostly at the top half of the door. And yes its obveous now that I see the pics. Looks like no 08 panels on the X then.
One of my clients has a fleet of beat up '08 F-350s for their work trucks. I'm sure I can talk him into letting me try swapping an inner door panel some night to see if they are a direct swap or not. Lets just hope I don't break anything as the "You break it, you just bought it." rule always applies when fooling with other people's stuff.

Yeah but we have already established the fact that even if the front door panels are a definate, then there are no rear door panels to match the fronts. would look pretty stupid having different door panels just on the front doors. and i'd bet that besides the gray, most of the colors would not be the same.
