Expert part ID needed.

I am trying to figure out what C8TE-6316-B is for. Here is a picture.

The tag says 65/72 and the rest is illegible. Any help is much appreciated.

Engine crankshaft pulley, looks like the tag says it fits 65/72 300 6cyl

Bill da dummy will have the official Ford term for it. We'll see how far wrong I was.

C8TE-6316-B = C5TZ6312L .. Crankshaft Pulley-Triple Sheave-Includes Damper / Obsolete

The tag that sez "65/72 300 6 cyl" was prolly put on the part prior to 1973, because...

Fits: 1965/81 300 I-6 (except CA: 1979/81 F100/250 & E100/250)

The last MSRP was a whopping $364.30. Dealer net cost was $258.58.

Quantity remaining: Four Ford Dealers have six. Five obsolete parts vendors have a total of 30.

That is awesome!

I guess I have one that was MIA. Ford actually tracks what stock non Ford vendors have?

By the way, why are the CA trucks not included? Was it smog restrictions?

Thanks for the great information.

Ford has nothing to do with it. It's one a the things I do here on FTE.

I can search the parts inventories of every FoMoCo Dealer, as well as the obsolete parts vendors parts inventories.

This comes in handy if someone is looking for obsolete parts. I can price out all available parts, sometimes list the original MSRP & dealer net prices on obsolete parts.

Good stuff

That is really cool of you to share your expertise. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to look up parts and come up with zilch. Thanks again!
