Line Lock?

I know most of you guys have 4-wheel drive rigs, but for those of us who have 2-wheel drive, where can we get a line lock kit?

Does anyone make a drop in kit for our trucks? I know I can probably get a solenoid from Summit, but I was hoping someone made a kit.

Isn't Snow White a 2-wheel drive truck? I wonder if Dave Lott would know where to get a kit.

Never heard it referred to as a micro-brake, a Hurst roll-control sometimes, but yeah, in a nutshell, you step on your brake pedal, engage a momentary switch that activates a solenoid, release your foot brake which releases the rear brakes while the solenoid keeps the front brakes locked. You can now do a burnout in the water box without messing up your rear brakes.

Here's a wikipedia write-up on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_lock

Here's a picture of me using my line lock in my Lightning at Infineon Raceway (old Sears Point) in the water box heating up my ET Streets.

Stewart, the mico-brake is a brand name, we use it on our lift trucks. It it a manual lever plumbed into the brake line, any brake line. You lift the lever and step on the brake, it locks that line or lines. You flip the lever down and it releases. They do have electric models but I haven't used them.

Ah, thanks Mark.

That kind of switch wouldn't be allowed on a track that follows NHRA/IHRA rules. The switch activator must be a momentary switch, only "on" or activated while being pushed. The switch automatically releases the brakes whenever pressure on the switch is no longer there.

This is the setup on my Lightning. The momentary switch is on my steering wheel tilt adjust.

The main power switch that allows the momentary switch to be active is the rocker on the panel, and the LED lets me know the momentary switch has good juice going to it.

Thanks. It's fun as all get out.

I love to autocross it as much as I like to drag race it.

Stewart,
I was just looking at them the other day and I don't remember if it was Summit or Jegs but one of them had a kit they listed as for vehicles with anti-lock brakes. I am not sure why it would be different but that was the way they listed it. Both companys had several that ranged from about $45 to over $100. Sorry I can't be of much more help.
