Where I`m working there was a rather large rock in our way and the hoe operator didn`t think he could dig it out. Though it took a little while my Bobcat dug it out......
it never ceases to amaze me what a bobcat can do. i'm going to have myself one some day. even tho i don't have an acreage yet, it'd be more than handy here, plus i could probably use it for work some time...
I think it`s just that the hoe operator was lazy or inexperienced, just think about a 3-40,000 lb hoe vs an 8,000 lb Bobcat and you get the picture.....
Yeah no kidding, hell even my little 580 can dig out some pretty big rocks! Last job I was at there were really big rocks in the ground, and one even made my hoe grunt a little, but it did get it up. It was also 8 feet underground.
Yeah, they are a funny ran company. I would think they make more money off of the excavating part then the truck driving part, yet your right, it seems like they have green operators on just about all of their equipment (that ive seen anyways)
They sure do get alot of good contracts though, so they must be doing something right!
