working on friends 99 F250 4x4 diesel it has factory trl wiring harness. someone had tapped ino the fact. trl wiring for a plug in the bed. everything is working except the RH turn/brake light(green wire) I have traced it to where it was tapped into, no power, have went thru the owners manual and see no fuse for trl. R/H turn signals. Where does this get it's signal from???? there is no fuse system under the hood that I have found or seen in manual either. I traced it back along the fram, and see no place that there is a break of any kind w/o tearing it completely out of the loom. As a side note when the plug in bed was installed, the place that done it, jammed the OEM plug behind bumper and ultimately the wires are chafed and green from weather, not to mention they didnt even plug it back in any help will be greatly appreciated on finding the signal source.
I have the owners manual and have yet to see where there is a fuse for L/R trl brake turn lamps. Hence why Im asking for help here. I'll look at the link U posted to see if it has anyting more then what I have. TY
where is this fuse panel? there are only 2 relay boxes along the left fender towards the firewall, and the owners manual only shows the one under dash. it shows some fuses for trl wiring but not turn/stop lamps tho.
well ive got a 99f150 and they are in the main box with all the relays on the drivers side by the air cleaner. i had the same problem one side of the trailer lights were not working i figured it was the buld then thought wire but after tearin throu the harnnes going to the 7way plug on the rear bummper. I found out that there were fuses for left and right trailer lights in the main box from the instructions that come with the factory trailer brake controller pigtail. hope this helps
Well here's the 411. They told me it was a 99, it's actually a 02. I got ahold of a wiring diagram for the RIGHT year and found there isn't a fuse box for the trl turn/stop lamps, but relays inside the left fender, near firewall. 1 of them was bad of course. There is 2 small relays, 1 for left, 1 for right. All is well now and thanks to all for helping, but I still love my Dodge Cummins
