ABS sensors
Hello, my ride is a 96 Explorer xlt, Im having a problem with the ABS coming on when Im coming to a stop. Would the cause of this be dirty sensors and if so where are they located and could I do the job myself.

there are 3 sensors ,1 on each front wheel and one in the rear end housing . there maybe dirt on the front sensors (metal fillings)and should be cleaned out .the sensor in the rear end is the most common one to fail.this sensor is on the top of the rear end ,on the driver side ,held in with a 8 or 10 mm screw.pull this sensor out and check for metal fillings .the wires leading to the sensors are very sensitive to there routing . they must follow there original path .
