Wiring to Backrack
I have a magnetic beacon that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I was wondering how all you guys hard wire the stuff to your roof and backrack. Are there rubber grommets hidden somewhere to run the wires through. I have a 2009 F350 SD. Thanks for your help...

I also ran mine through my 3rd brake light (07 150, but same principle). All though, on my truck, you couldnt use the stock gasket that kept water gettin threw the 3rd brake light. So water leaked in. BUT, i did go up to autozone and they had weather stripping and i just put that under the third brake light and it kept it from leaking.

Pretty common for guys to run them through the 3rd brakelight, that's what I do on mine. I don't compromise the factory gasket though (other than removing it to facilitate wire fishing), I drill a hole just big enough for the wires through the cab light lense, then through the reflector behind it, slide the wires through, and silicone it up, works great! Best part is, when you pull the wires, and clear silicone the cab light lense, you wont even notice the hole unless you're looking for it.
