My radio mysteriously stopped working the other day and I immediately thought it was a bad fuse. Checked all fuses and nothing appeared to be blown, but replaced the radio fuse anyway to be safe. What I did find is that in place of the correct 7.5 amp fuse, whoever had the truck before me had put in a 30 amp fuse. This obviously leads me to believe the radio is fried, however there was no smell of burning electronics - It just completely shut off all at once.
I plan to pull it apart and check connections this evening. I was just wondering if anyone has a similar experience or thinks it may not actually be fried. I'm hoping to avoid as much frustration as possible later on.
