New Paint Job

Does anyone have any idea how much a paintjob from some place like Maaco would cost me? Nothing special, just the same green I have now. Or maybe the basic red that ford offers on all their XL trim model trucks. The cheaper the better I figure.

i got mine painted there recently for about $1000. i had them do some really minor body work, and i have two tone paint.

my experience: i feel like the guy wasnt completely honest with me, he said he would upgrade my paint to make the sale, but im pretty sure i got the lower scale paint job. they did a pretty good job straitening up around the door that was bent a little. i doesnt look like they did hardly any prep work, as i can tell where the clear coat was pealing, and they just painted right over it the over spray was pretty bad, and 9 months later some of the paint is chipping, mainly in the front.

having said all that, it still looks 100x times better then it did (clear coat was all but gone, was rusting on the sides a bit). but i wont ever take anything to macco again. and anyone will tell you that every macco is different, and i would talk to the painter himself and have him tell you exactly what he is going to do.

I definitely wouldn't change the color. You will have to worry about under hood, door jambs, between the bed and cab and all the other hard to get to spots.

i kept the same color as well. and believe me they will not go the extra mile of doing those areas unless you ask for it, and pay. if you bug them, you can probably get it done for 700-800, 6 month warranty.
