Last year I had a after market remote start installed, that's working fine. My question is about the heated seats (ford factory installed), I would like to be able to turn them on, then off the truck, then be able to remote start the truck and have them on. But they don't work that way if you have them on, turn the truck off, restart truck they don't remain on, I want them to remain on is their anyway to fix this ?
Also, whats the easiest way to locate the door entry key-pad code? I can't find the tag that showed the number. How much would a stealer charge to locate it ?
seats: you will have to custom wire something. even then, you'd need a trigger. look into if your alarm has extra programmable pre-outs. if so, you can set that to trigger your seats (maybe). I know they are able to do similar stuff to roll down windows and pop hatches...can't see it being too hard
Door Code:
1. Owners Manual should have a little Credit Card sized plastic card with a PIN code on there.
or
2. On the back wall of your cab behind the rear seat. There is a door lock module with that PIN on a white sticker
or
3. Pay Dealership about $100 for them to access your PCM and pull the PIN for the doors
if you search FTE, there are many guides to removing the rear seat. it ain't fun, but it's alot better than forking over $100 IMO
edit: btw, welcome back to FTE. Got any pictures of your truck?
