I'm looking at a front bumper for my truck, but it came off a 2004 king ranch and the plastic pieces are tan. Can they be painted black or grey to match my truck and last?
Krylon Fusion is just about your only option short of taking them to a body shop and having them professionally done. In our Texas sun I have had problem with the Krylon Fusion fading and having to be repainted.
I think I'll get it. The guy wants 175 obo for it, I think I'll offer 150 and get it painted. Seems like a good deal. Looks brand new with no blemishes at all.
That is a good deal, I'd go for it! Painting those plastic panels can't cost too much, pull 'em off and take 'em to a good body shop and they can probably fix you up in no time.
I thought you went ahead and put it on your truck Jeff?
Well the bumper I got was off an Excursion, so I took the tan off to get it painted and I was worried that it may not match the new ones that I got since it was used, so I bought a new one. I don't think there is anything wrong with it though.
