Staun Internal Bead Locks
I had been wanting to install a set of Staun Internal Bead Locks for a long time so I asked if they would break the wheels down and let me take the rims home to drill the holes for the bead lock.
They said no problem so I bought two bead locks for the front, they are almost $200 each and I didn't want to spend $800 unbudgeted dollars right now, and brought the wheels home. I watched the Staun video several times and finally got up the nerve to drill the hole in the rim. I measured a couple times and then put the wheel back on the spindle to check clearance with the caliper.
Four Wheel Parts in Riverside, CA remounted the tires with the bead locks inside. I plan to take it out this weekend and air down to around 8 PSI to test them out.
Here is a picture of the bead lock stem on the inside of the wheel.
