The expression on a Cadilac dealers face if you bought a new $60k Escalade and paid cash, drove it for 7 weeks, put a couple of thousand miles on it and then took back and said that you don't like it?
GM says no hassle and no questions asked. I'm raising the BS flag on that one. The dealer is going to fight you tooth and nail and try to pick out all the little things that are wrong with car such as scratches, swirl marks, tire wear or they would treat you like you returning a lease vehicle.
I'm sure you'd get your money back but IMHO, not without a hell of a fight.
I also believe it is not as easy as they claim and looked closely for disclaimers. They must be so long that on the TV ad all they say is go to your nearest dealer to read them.
why would you pay as much for an overrated chevy with a face lift as i did my house when i bought it anyway ??????????????????? that's insane . 60,000 to one up your neighbor . still it would be fun to see the look on their faces , especially when ya tell 'em that it's not as good as your ford !

+1 on that sir! But, Ford is doing the same crap with the Navi's and the superduties. If the market will bear it, they will all charge it.
The auto melt down didn't teach them a thing about how American's feel, it simply taught them to be more creative in how they market thier wares.
yep we even got the gov involved with cash for clunkers to lure some in to buy the overpriced stuff !!!! they wonder why some of us don't buy new .............i searched and searched and found the wifes van at a BIG discount as it was a program car with 5800 mileson it and a little dent in the drivers door the dealership was happy to fix . the only thing it didn't have was the dvd entertainment system . they wanted 18,000 but with sales being so slow and them having a butt load of 'em sitting we got it for 12 , well actually she did , i'm not a very good wheeler dealer . personally i dont need all the goodies and stuff on a vehicle . i absolutely love my 53 , got the da-- coolest daily driver around as far as i'm concerned , and it's the perfect vehicle as i've said many times .... no power steering , no power brakes , no easy to start , and drive electrical engine management system , no air , no radio ........ NO ONE IN THE FAMILY WANT'S TO USE IT OR BORROW IT !!!!!!!!!!!! except for the 6 year old granddaughter who say's it's her's and i'm only borrowing it till she get's her liscence ................

Who pays the sales tax? In my county in Florida the sales tax on $60,000 would be $3900. I'll bet the state won't give it back.
Given that my old boss, Ed Whitacre, is the new GM chairman, I'd expect them to have plenty of ways to screw you over when you try to bring your car back.
I used to have to listen to his town hall meetings. When that GM commercial comes on TV or radio, I cringe and shiver a little.
If anyone can make GM profitable, it's him, but he'll do it at the cost of consumers.
