Newer Guy
Just a quick note to say hi and say I'm glad to be aboard this forum.
Please don't kill me, but I was actually raised GM, however, I like all 3 American makers, and during the 10 years I worked as a professional mechanic, I worked on a LOT of Fords (there's a reason why they're the number 1 choice for the commerical market).
As I get older, I see the attraction of having a good p/u truck.
I've been cruising in an '89 Mazda B2200 since 1992 and "Ol' Betsy" has done me quite well all these years.
I got the truck because I was working as a mechanic back in those days and it helped to have a "parts runner" as my main rig.
Turned out to be the best thing since sliced bread, for my purposes.
Currently closing in on 250K miles with about 125K on the rebuild. Just changed out the clutch the other day. First time since '95, when I rebuilt the engine.
...and she still starts every time, still averages about 25 mpg and can still carry just about anything I ask her too.
What more could a guy want?!

Uh, what else....Oh, I live in the PNW for the past 43 of my 46 years, so I know something about Seattle history (and the surrounding area). Heck, for all the newbie's around here anymore, I'm starting to feel like a National Historic Monument, myself!

I enjoy talking cars and trucks more than I do working on them these days, but I hope some of my experiences will prove helpful to others.
I still like hunting and fishing, even if I haven't done either in about 20+ years.
Oh yeah, and I'm a drummer!, I've a little Ludwig drumkit with Paiste cymbals.
If you're a musician, lets talk a little music, if you want.
Anyway, that's about all from me.
Hopefully this'll be a cool place to hang out.

Dean
