it,s a cich just did both in about an hour and have never done it before.but now the esof works but not in reverse anyone heard about this happening?it was pretty srtaight forward i can't see putting it together wrong.
well got the vacuum back, well i was there figured i would clean the hub up since i never have. took me about 20 minutes to get one off. once it was off the old bearing grease had just turned into dirt the just rolled around in there. pulled it apart and the bearing inside there was done fell apart in in my hands....
Yikes Bone, thats probably what I'll find to. I'm thinking ill need an outer stub shaft, when I get into mine. Its the inner needle bearings that fell apart in your hands right? or are you talking about a bearing in the selector hub? I'm thinking of the complete rebuild kits (both wheel bearings and all seals.) that I have seen listed in threads hear. Has it solved your issue? Good to see another member from AK.
Yes it was the bearing in the hub it self. Broke down and got the warn manual hubs, solved my woes and looks better to. There is no room for second guessing when wheeling in AKs back country
It sound like to me your relays under your hood next two the master cylinder. That is what my truck did no lights came on transfercase shift motor would not work. It was the relays under your hood. one makes the trans shift from 2 to 4 to 4 low. the other takes it from 4 low to 4 high to 2 wheel. hope this helps
