Thanks, but I think at one time my truck had the pop out windows and one of the previous owners replaced them with the standard ones. ( I found some of the pop out ones in a junk yard and when I took a look at how I was going to mount them I noticed that the paint was brighter than the rest of the cab in the exact shape of the latch that mounts to your cab.) I need to find someone with a 1973-1979 Custom Supercab to tell me if their truck has the threaded inserts.

D4TZ10302A02A .. Retainer, Quarter Window Latch.
While Ford calls this a retainer, it's actually a threaded shouldered insert with a round head.
One of these per side.
----------------------
D4TZ10302A06A .. Spacer, Use with the above (2 of these parts per side).
The insert fits through these two spacers, then through the following:
D2FZ7330212A .. Insert, Use with the above (1 per side).
-------------------------------------------------
What you need to see is the following;
1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog // Body Illustration Section 200, Page 13.
The entire movable quarter window is shown with all the attaching parts.
FTE member jermafenser has this catalog on a CD, can scan and post this illustration.
You can get your own catalog, as it's available from hipoparts.com for around 25 bucks.
btw: Supercabs were introduced in 1974.

Compare the three part numbers I typed in post #5 to the basic part numbers shown in the above illustration.
Is this what you broke? =
D5FZ73303A12A .. Quarter Window Hinge Retainer-Plastic. Shown as 303A12 in the above illustration.
Note: These are not the same parts as D2FZ7330212A.
All these parts are Obsolete = No longer available from Ford.
D5FZ73302A12A = GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati has ONE = 800-543-4959.
No Ford Dealer, no other obsolete parts vendor has any, but...
These same hinge retainers were also used on the quarter windows of 1972/80 Pinto & Mercury Bobcat station wagons.

Thanks, but what I broke is shown as 302A12. when I pulled the windows form the junkyard the plastic was sun rotted, there wasn't much I could do. Do I just need to go to a glass shop and see if they have a way to mount these windows or do you know of where I can order some these retainers from?
