I got SUPER help here on a similar issue a while ago...and bet you guys know exactly what I need again!
Used the remote start on my 2001 Taurus wagon this morning to head to work. Inserted key and was ready to roll. No dash lights for the gague cluster, but the green arrow turn signal indicators were stuck on. Wasn't sure what was going on so I started, restarted, locked, and unlocked with the remote thinking it may have messed up. Tried starting, restarting with key, thinking maybe a fluke still. Same. Now I am wondering if all the bulbs (2 or 3?) for the gauges are burned out, and this is what happens?????? I think one was out prior to this, did the second and/or third go and this is how factory engineers alert driver??? Figure I will pull the cluster and take a peek, but thought someone here may "shine some light" on the subject" (SORRY, really sorry) but I had to. THANKS !!!!!!!!
Left work after posting this and all was fine. Actually better than before. All the backlight lamps are lit again, and the turn signal indicators function as they should...must be a short of some sort somewhere in the dash panel.
