4x4 problem?

Spun out on a grass hill today, so I stopped and turned the switch I heard it engauge and 4x4 light came on. I then let out the clutch the back started to spin and BANG the front end engauged all of the sudden, it was bad enough that it killed the truck. any ideas could it be a t-case prob or vacume hub problem. I dont think it hurt anything 4x4 works properly and u-joints are ok. Seems like I have alot of drive train problems latley I know the truck gets more abuse and hard work than most but here latley ive had more than my share of problems. Any ideas

Next time hop out and engage the hubs manually. Good chance, what happend was you started spinning again in the rear, and one of the hubs wasnt engaged yet, so that axleshaft just spun, when it finally engaged, it snaped. You may have popped the hub, you may want to take the truck somewere to actually test the 4wd, up a grass hill or something, to make sure it is working. It would be a shame to find out when your in a bad situation.
