shifter knob
The **** is pressed onto the shift lever.
If it's damaged or worn...whatever, usually you have to break it...to get it off the lever.
C5TZ7213B .. 3 Speed Manual Shift Lever **** / C5TZ7213B replaced C5TZ7213A / Obsolete
Fits: 1965/69 F100/350 // 1966/68 Bronco.
In 1973, Ford replaced C5TZ7213B with D3TZ7213A which is an entirely different appearing **** that is chromed plastic. The original **** was black plastic.
It fits, but it's not period correct. This chrome **** also replaced the **** that was used 1970/72...which is not the same as 1965/69.
No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has C5TZ7213A or B.
A bunch of dealers, obsolete parts vendors have D3TZ7213A which is also obsolete.

btw: Replacing this **** can be a b!tch, because you cannot just push it on.
What I did was put the lever and **** into a bench vise, used a piece of wood on the **** to protect it.
Then I slowly cranked the vise closed till the puppy was seated.
