Cam Follower Problem '00 Expedition
Hi! We just purchased a 2000 Ford Expedition with app 19,000 miles. It stalled on us and we had it towed back to the dealer. It has since been in the shop for over 30 days - with us being told it was first a fuel problem, then that it needed a whole new engine and finally ended with the Ford rep coming in and saying the Cam Follower was to blame it had allowed the pistons to hit the valves, damaging the head and that they were replacing the left head and 4 pistons. Were told that this was an issue that had happened to other Expeditions. Was wondering if anyone has had or heard of this problem. Have not been able to find any recalls or anything. Also does anyone know where to find a diagram of the Triton V8 engine? Thanks everyone! Alan & Lana Cullum Orlando, FL
