I like the photo of the diode with the "PATENTS PENDING" stamped on it, hope ford dropped that one in the garbage
One question on the torque converter in the photo: Is that the way the stock converter looks, no paint? Reason I ask is that I am not sure if my tranny is original. Most likely not as the truck has over 190,000 on it. My converter is a gloss black, any ideas or thoughts on what I might have??

My stock TC was unpainted. The aftermarket billet one, I put in, was painted black also.

It would be nice to think I have a billet converter, but I get a feeling that this is something else. With my luck the previous owner got happy with a can of spray paint

Couple of pics of the forward clutches.
Not at all "that" burnt up but none the less they will all get replaced.

Just to set the record straight. I found that pic on another site and dont want to take credit for it. If I knew who the original belonged to I'd give him props.

It is a good one, i saved it to my comp and sent it out to my friends for the laugh also, but when they recieved the pic it would not animate for them.
Nobody knows go ahead and take credit for it.

Most likely it's the 4th gear piston snap ring. It has a habit of popping off. Trans Go and Sonnax offer a spiral lock ring to correct this.
