I like the photo of the diode with the "PATENTS PENDING" stamped on it, hope ford dropped that one in the garbage
One question on the torque converter in the photo: Is that the way the stock converter looks, no paint? Reason I ask is that I am not sure if my tranny is original. Most likely not as the truck has over 190,000 on it. My converter is a gloss black, any ideas or thoughts on what I might have??

Reps sent. Greats pics. This helps take out the jitters about a tranny rebuild. The ATSG maunual is good, but nothing like pics or hands on.

Most likely it's the 4th gear piston snap ring. It has a habit of popping off. Trans Go and Sonnax offer a spiral lock ring to correct this.
