Unidentifiable engine?

I have recently purchased a ford engine and suspect it is a 351 but I cant find any date codes or casting information on it anywhere. All I have found is 351 wcp 20 in the lifter valley. It has an aluminum 2 barrel intake on it that shows the ford emblem on it but that is all that is on it. The engine block and heads also have this strange lack of visible numbers. I am really curious as to what it is that I have gotten my hands on. Any help on figuring out what this engine is before I start working on it would be of great help.

Or it could be a 351C = dry inlet manifold and 8 bolts on the rocker cover gasket. Or it could be a 351M which I think is the same configuration as 351C with a much bigger block and big-block bellhousing bolt pattern. Or, if you are in Aus it could be a 351G.....

I believe the Windsors & 302s have 6-bolt valve covers, not 5. The only Ford
engines that use 5-bolt covers that I'm aware of belong to the FE series
(360/390/427/etc). Yes, the 335-series blocks (351C/351M/400) use 8-bolt valve
covers, and they also utilize an exhaust crossover in the intake manifold, not a
coolant crossover (hence the thermostat going into the block, not intake
manifold).

Another easy ID method - all 335-series engines use the same fuel pump with
the bolts vertically opposing each other, not horizontally.

In my opinion, the 4V Cleveland (especially 1970 version; my mom had one,
and it's one of the cars I learned to drive a stick in as a kid)) is a GREAT
high-RPM screamer that has no place in a truck where low-end torque is the
primary need. The 2V Cleveland needs to be converted to a 4V variant (which
means 4V heads, too (preferably the Aussie variant) and not merely the intake
manifold & carb).
Just my opinion.

Thanks for the help on identifying this engine. This has raised another question on the engine. Did ford make any heads that took a motorcraft ags 42c spark plug that would fit on a 351w block? This spark plug looks like it is the size of a gm plug if not smaller. It does have 6 bolt valve covers.

rockauto.com could find no applications for those things; amazon.com tells us:

ok, I have a problem with the windsor part.
i have heard twice on here that it is a 5 bolt valve cover.
then why does mine have 6.
same with all the others I have seen at the junkyard.

are people being mis-informed, or am I coming across dozens of rare-engined trucks?

haha ok.
this isn't the only place i've seen them listed as 5 bolt valve covers.

even some places where people talked about their builds had them listed as 5 bolt 351 windsors.

is counting too hard to do?
