I looked for a referance for a bleed valve and only came up with a vac control valve that bleeds vac under certain conditions to control EGR. But no details.
I also found one diagram that had a check valve in it and it was in series with a vac cannister. I have what I think is a vac cannister (it is round black ball next to the factory vehicle jack) but it is disconnected. So at this point I think your right. But what is the vac tank for?
I am intrested in what the """"vac purge valve"""" does (the if applicable note on the right) and the vac reservoir do. I understand the evap system but I have the evap cannister hooked directly to my air cleaner not a vac line going to my EGR..
The reason I ask is that I hooked up my EGR and went on a 100 + mile drive yesterday in very hilly country, 95 deg and averaging 65 mph and was getting over 14 mpg. I have been studying how EGR works so I am working with it to see how efficient I can get it to operate. So far it seems worth the effort. Otherwise I am learning alot.
