hood ornament

ok, so i know there's the gear and lightning, and the v8, but I've been seeing reproductions of a hood ornament that goes on top with like a circle, anyone seen it? know anything about it? never seen one on one of our trucks but it says they go on em?

B7A16850A .. Hood Ornament / Fits 1957 Ford Passenger Cars except Thunderbirds.

Someone discovered this ornament will fit 1961/66 hoods, but it's not original.
