Ever since I lifted my truck a couple years ago, I have not been able to get a decent alignment on my front end. The thing has always pulled. I've taken it to three different shops and have attempted it myself twice. This last one has been the best of all of them, but it still pulls slightly and I am getting bad wear on my tires. I am starting to think that the TTB axle is the culprit. Have any of y'all had similar alignment issues after lifting a truck with the split axle? I'm realllllly close to looking in to getting a solid D60 in there, just need to find some money...
Yeah the TTB is a piece of crap! I had the same problems after lifting. went through ball joints and tires like crazy. bushings would never last due to the flexing of the axle. I finally found a shop that got the alighnment on but the axle would never hold it for more than a couple of months. Too many moving parts and flex with such a heavy engine over it. Last weekend was it--cut the damn thing of and bolted on a D60. One would assume that the TTB would give a better ride because its independent but the 60 rides just as smooth and doesn't pull all over the rode when I hit a pebble. Go with the 60--you won't regret it. I have about $1100 in the axle. $750 for the axle and the rest to change all the seals, races, bearings, calipers and brakes.
That really seems to be the consensus. Yea, when I was bolting the lift on, I was thinking to myself 'how the heck are these wheels gonna end up ever pointing straight again'. There really is too much going on. Falcon, unfortunately I am not in NC anymore, I'm in south Texas in the second stage of flight school for the Navy. Not a day goes by that I don't think about when I'll get to move back home, but I am loving my job so far. Not many professions let you wear one piece cotton overalls every day and give you 15-40 million dollar jets to fly around However, I'm taking some leave, starting in about 3 hours, and going home for a week. I actually might be heading down your way to see an old girlfriend; she's at ECU. How's the weather?
Y'all got any tips for going about finding a D60? I would LOVE to get this done, but time is an issue for me; once this next stage of school kicks in I'm going to be pretty busy. If I could get the axle, get all the parts and have a plan ready, I could probably find a weekend in the next month or two to do it.

Weather is great down here... I'm stationed at Cherry Point Air Station right now. Originally from Oregon.
