Guys, my 2000 s duty v-10 has sprung a leak....i get a smell of antifreeze in the cab, but no coolant evident in floorboard. have had to top off the resivour tonite. there is coolant leaking down onto the passenger side fender well, as well as the spring on passenger side. i have checked as well as i can the hoses where they enter the heater core connections, no leak evident. as well as the engine ends can see the one on the front of the engine, but cant see the one on rear of engine. i'm thinking heater core? I have seen posts for a heater by-pass valve upgrade....has anyone done this and is it worth it? if i need to change heater core out how do i disconnect the hoses at the heater core? are they snap fit or do i need the tool like the fuel disconnect tool? Advice, suggestions appreciated.....thanks
Art,. thanks....i'm getting ready to pull the heater core. Gotta run to town and get the disconnect tools. any idea how to disable the airbag on the passenger side? Buddy is a auto shop teacher at high school, told me to disable it but all data dont tell how

I think there's a connector behind the passenger side door, or under the hood, I forget.
Best thing would be to just disconnect the battery and leave the headlight switch on for a few minutes.
