water in passengers floor

Lifted my floor mats today and noticed the carpet on the passengers side was wet. im pretty sure its the drain for the ac is stopped up. I found where the water is coming thru the fire wall, but cant find the drain tube for the ac, so i can check it and/or unstop it. any ideas?

Have not gotten mine fixed yet. After reading the TSB, I have second guessed taking it to the shop verses doing it myself. Looked pretty difficult to reach, at least before reading the TSB. Not sure now.

Yeah I was looking at mine today. I have not even found it yet. I'm gonna have to wait till I get a free Saturday so I can take things apart and get this thing fixed. I wanna do it soon before the carpet starts stinking. LOL..... if I wait much longer it will be time for the heater instead of the AC. Then I can just wait till spring j/k. I'll post on here when I get it fixed.

Fixed it today. Not that bad of a job over all. The most difficult part is actually pushing the elbow onto the drain. Not a lot of room in there. I cut my hand all up just like everyone else. Took about 2hrs.

Congrats. Have not gotten mine fixed yet. Still debating doing myself verses taking to the dealer. Was the drain behind a hump in the firewall insulation?

No was not behind insulation. Just take the passengers tire off, then the inner fender and the drain is in sort of an open spot in the insulation. Hardest part is getting by the transmission filler tube and behind the engine block to push the elbow on. Small hands would be a plus. My hands look like I punched through a glass door, lots of little cuts.

Well, got my leak fixed today (I hope) at the dealer. Because of other work done and some random charges (hate those!) I can only estimate that it cost ~$240. Kind of steep just for adding a $12 tube extension, but it's done and did not have time right now to add another "to do". What I do not understand is why this item was not installed at the factory (i.e. original equipment), and why it only started leaking recently, and why I had to pay for such an apparently well know issue? Glad I like my truck because this does not speak well of Ford.
