Interior Conversion Questions
Hey guys,
I can't seem to find a straight answer on this. I love the interiors in the 05+ Superduties and want to know if they swap into excursions? I have read that the seats do. But what about the front dash and door panels?

Tough is fine if it's actually do-able! I just love messing with cars and trucks and the car I bought to mess with is at the stage where I'm not good enough to do what needs to be done. So I need another little project...

If thats the case, then you're the one that needs to see if it can be done!!! Go for it - let us know! Your best bet would be to just replace the shroud that surrounds the gauges with the new style one. I have looked at both and I dont think the swap would be too bad. (the gauge cluster IS NOT interchangeable). Then you would also need the lower center dash piece which should bolt right in (the one with the upfitter switches, but not the trailer brakes). The rest of the dash - the big piece is very similar between the two, I see no need to change it unless the newer gauge surround shroud doesnt fit. And to remove the entire dash is a chore... I've done it recently. The whole thing comes out with steering cloumn and all... big metal frame inside, takes 2 guys to lift it out.
I've got an 05 here and an 02, I might pull the 05 shroud and see if it will line up on my 02.

Yeah I recently saw an 06 King Ranch dash without gauge cluster up on craigslist or something for like $200 and was thinking about it!! I need to take the whole thing apart anyways because somehow they got dirt in the cluster haha.
