Since your useage will be for boating, let me say that my 2008 cc lb dually is 22' - 4" LOA!

Obviously you will subtract out the pin location and add in the trailers. Any ford spec sheet site will give you exact dimensions. If no one else posts those pages I will come back later with address on line.

according to the specs link above https://www.ford-trucks.com/specs/20...er-duty-1.html the 08 CC, LB length is 262 inches.. 21ft 10 inches.

(I knew my new truck was big!!)

Here is what I found:

4x4
156" WB SRW 246.2 79.9 99.6 81.0
156" WB DRW 246.2 95.5 99.6 80.2
172" WB SRW 262.4 79.9 99.6 80.9
172" WB DRW 262.4 95.5 99.6 80.1
*NOTE: All dimensions are preliminary

The link is as follows:

http://www.sunrisefordfleet.com/pdf_...er%20Guide.pdf

If you divide the above it looks like sdetweil and I were both wrong. Looks like my LOA is a tad under 21' - 9". I looked that up so many times. I am sure if you plug in 22' to your thinking you will be ok.

Perhaps I was remembering the LOA, for whatever reasoning, with the ball plugged in. That would get me to 22' - 4". Like said above, a long vehicle. Thank GOD for the narrow track. I can now make a u turn in four lanes as compared to 5 lanes in my 2005 F-350.

Another bet is that the width of our trucks are more than the legal 8' - 6" with the tow mirrors extended.

how am I wrong? 262.4 /12 is 21.866 = 21ft 10 inches.

my dually rear width is 95.5. just under the limit.

mirrors don't go beyond the fenders, and besides, they wouldn't be counted as they are not fixed.

I am so sorry. YOUR MATH is correct. MINE is incorrect in reference to LOA.

Not sure about the width comment I made. I believe each state has different interpretations.

And to the best of my knowledge the maximum width is 8' - 6" which puts you six plus inches under maximum
