ok so i dont have any truck going right now, this is my 92 it runs ok until u plug in the little round connector then it runs really bad, and the overdrive light flashes, it has a big plug im guessing they tried to put a different harness on it, and the big flat plug i think goes to the e4od some kind of control box?
thanks brandon
i was gonna put the 5 spd in the blue truck but their is no hole in the floor, should i just cut on in the floor, or if i want to put the 5 speed in my 87 i need pre 92 pedal ans clutch master cyl right, and a manual flywheel and clutch kit, im just aggravated and ranting a little bit due to missing work 4, 2 days sorry to rant.
im just needing to get something going, cant come up with an engine hoist either for less than 230$
thanks Brandon
sorry someone knocked on my dood and sidetracked me
the 92 hads an e4od the pics of the wires are from it, the 96 truck has the 5 spd with a blown 5.0 its a diffrent truck, i was thinkin of putting the 5spd in the truck with the e4od but the hole is not in the floor id have to cut it out, so im wandering if u can help me with the wiring, i see the control box is gone, unless the 92 isnt supposto have one, i know my dads 95 has a box with a cable that goes to the throttle body i beleive?
the trans part has a round 4 pin connector and the truck part of the wiring harness has 6 wires and a bigger round connector
sorry for the confusion
thanks bradon
in the first pic the bigger connector is the one from the wiring harness, and the little one they took the wires from the bigger one and put them into the small one to plug into the trans harness, because the trans harness is the small one.
notice 2 wires left over a green and purple and yel stripe
thanks brandon
You just cut the big hole out of the floorboard as marked on the '92 and use the cover off the '96 and put it on the '92. Lay the '96 cover over the big hole you cut in the '92 so you can mark the bolt holes and drill those out. Pull the rubber mat up on the '96 and you will see what I mean.
