I am nearing the 100K mile marker pretty quick and I am gearing up to have some warranty work performed on the engine before it runs out. I am sitting on 93K at the moment.
The biggest and most important is swapping the factory bolts for head studs. As some of you may remember my horror story of exactly a year ago; a year has passed and the truck is running fine and dandy but I'm getting what I should have gotten in there now in the first place: ARP studs.
Any other pointers I should address to the tech before the warranty runs out?
Have them inspect anything you're willing to pay to inspect. Warranty does not cover inspections, it covers broken things. It also won't cover replacing head bolts for head studs when nothing is wrong.
If you are going to pay for any one test I might suggest EOT and ECT comparison test. Will tell you how your coolers are doing since I didn't see a coolant filter in your sig.
