EGR Tube Question
Hey guys does anyone know if there's anywhere else to go to buy an EGR Tube for a 1996 5.0 Ford's part number is F6TZ-9D477-E, and the cheapest I can find it even at a discount is 138.32, which seems astronomically high for a little piece of tube, thanks for all the help guys!

Rockauto lists one under air injection pipe for a 1995 F150 5.0L. Odd listing. It is an Airtex Part #1A1076; EGR Valve to Exhaust Manifold. Look at Picture provided to see if it is same for your 1996. This same listing is not provided under 1996. If it is same; price is $64.99 and there is sponsor discount.

Check with PCI Industries ( www.pciinc.com ) They show a listing for what you may need for $31. Item number 114 is what you are interested in. I used their listed Ford part number and cross referenced it to the Airtex part number given in a previous post.

Talked to PCI and they said that that's not the right one for my truck apparently the 96 5.0 is a one year EGR tube because it has to have the DPFE ports, so far the only place I've found it is Ford for $138 and that's with a discount, any other ideas?

I checked with rockauto.com for your truck for the egr tube, and neither the your truck nor the explorer showed that tube being available aftermarket which like you said leaves your truck to have a unique tube.
Too bad you couldnt get the 97 5.0 tube (which by the way is available at rockauto for cheap) to work.
Look up the y2kfordparts on this forum, he deals directly in ford parts, and is likely he may be able to cut you a deal on that tube. He frequents this forum often and is also a sponser.
