My new '09 F-150 has the Sirius button on the radio, but no tuner. My buddy (next door neighbor/general manager who sold the truck) and I walked to the service dept. The dealer price from the factory for the tuner was $700. So I passed on that one. I went to the local BestBuy and the flunkie in the radio dept said he didn't think this would work for my truck. I seem to think that being an educated man tells me it just might do the trick. I didn't have the opportunity to speak with the install tech to find out what he thinks. Anyone around here have any thoughts? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1174091944200
Compatible with most satellite radio-ready head units and select factory radios when combined with SiriusConnect interface adapters (not included)
I'm not sure it will not require another part. I would look at PIE/PAC/Peripheral/Axxis/ect too.
I did notice that option. I guess I really need to speak with the install guys. Even if the other piece of equipment along with this universal piece adds up to less than the factory tuner, it's worth thinking about. I guess I could always scan ebay for a factory tuner.
That same exact kit is 49.99 dirrectly from surius.
Not sure if that Best Buy price is includign the minimum 3 month service or not. The Siruis price does not include the required minimum 3 month service.
Of course shipping is free on $50 or more, not $49.99.
Buy a hat from the clearance section for $7.99. My shipping was $7.44 so I considered it a $0.50 hat
