Man......what a pain in the neck.Bought a new 350 in July had almost all the options except sat radio.Needed the truck fast.. so said screw it i'll add it later. Now that i have time to do it a can't get the additional sat tuner.Seems there is some kinda lawsuit going on with sirius.Ford can't sell you the additional sat tuner unless it's for replacment. If your vin says you did'nt have sat radio you can't get one.I really don't like the look of the plug and play models so i guess i'm out of sat radio and sirius is out of my subscription money.Any ideas on what else i could do to have the clean factory look without having to look at some ugly pod mount in my truck???
I have bought the fact. module I just went to the dealership got a vin# off there demo truck and ordered it from a dealership on line seemed to take care or the problem they did not need a exchange
I need to order the module for my 08 expy with navigation. Do you have a website I can order from or does it need to be ordered from the dealer?
I asked the dealer to order me one but the idiot they have me talking to can't even figure out what part to order or if it can even be added to my navi radio! I'm like, I really don't think they have 2 navi radios, 1 with Siri, and one without!! Just order me the damn box! No call back yet so I want to just do it myself.
Yes, I have the nav unit with rear seat DVD but do not have sirius. I need the "module", and I suppose the antenna to add sirius so that it works through the nav radio.
wow, 499?? It is only a $195 factory option. that sucks. this truck had all the other options we wanted so we figured we could add the sirius later. guess I should have waited for one that had it. Does the 499 at least include installation?
I just cannot believe the people some of these Ford dealers have working for them... I went thru the same exact thing with my '05 Expy w/RSE. When I bought the car, I asked the salesman at the time how much and availability... his response: "oh, I would say any of those electronics stores can sell you one for the dash mount... its nothing we do here!" What? The stereo has a Sat button on it, whats that for? Oh, thats when it comes from the factory with it.
Anyway, long story short, I did some research online, found the part number, went to the dealership to pick it up, and made sure I walked by the salesmans office with the box under my arm! Oh, just here to pick up my Satellite tuner for my factory headunit! Guess what, its worked perfect ever since! Me n my brother put it in, took about 2hrs total. Its a complete plug n play wiring harness. Good luck!
Oh, n it was under 300. at the time, ended up finding on line for even less after the fact. Just do some homework, you'll find it. I'll look around, see if i can find some more info for you.

My dealer said the same thing until I told him that I found out online that there is the plug and play module. Then he calls and say oh yeah, your right. The price is $699 with install! But he would knock 50 bucks off, so I could get it for $650 installed! I found a visteon module online that says it will work, the link is below, and that is only $335. Do you know have any idea if this will work, or do you have another source I could get it from?
If they just give you the small stick-on ant, you can stick it on your dash near the windshield. My last 2 trucks that I added it to, the shop put them there and I had no issues.
In my install, the factory module went in the lining in back near the sub. So i just ran the magnet mount antenna up and out the center of the top on the very back of the truck. You don't even see and thats about as high on the truck as you can get! Works great.
