Well the thing about it is that i need all the fuel injection stuff from the other engine and the brackets. so in buying a complete engine i get everything i need so that my truck which had the mass air flow 5.0liter will be able to just plug and play the 351w.

this is exactly what i did except mine had 80K was an F4TE roller cam block so i just replaced gaskets, water pump, oil pump and Tstat and dropped it in.

the Trick Flow intake would be overkill and would push the power band higher in the rpm range. mods should go as follows for best results. Headers, aftermarket/custom y pipe, cam, aftermarket intake, heads or head work. With that low of miles i would run as is and begin gathering the parts so when the time comes you can do it all at once.

Yeah an intake isn't needed until the heads are upgraded, do both these at once. The 5.8 really responds well to cam upgrades.. the stock F4TE roller is too small for it in all respects. If this is a running motor then don't bother rebuilding just run it as it stands with a new cam. Look for a HO roller cam and add 1.7 rockers.

That would be the 5.0HO roller cam.. the one that comes stock in the motor from Ford. All the mustang guys swap it out for something bigger.
