Speed/ratio formulas
Hey guys, I changed out my 3.55 to 3.31 Can someone point me in the direction of a formula or tell me how off my speedo is going to be with the new 3.31? Tire size is stock 255/70/16. Only the differential was changed. Thank!

you changed the gears 3.55- 3.31 or .24 Compared to originial you have raised the ground speed .24 / 3.55 or about 7 %. I guessed, didnt have a calculator. What this means is you will be going 7% faster than the speedo says, or at 50 MPH you will be going 53.5 and at 100 you will be going 107.
