How do I properly remove leaf springs?
The prev owner had a camper on the back and added what looks like 3 extra leaves to the rear and one to the front. I took the truck to the dump to weigh it and with just me in there and an empty truck I was at 7420 lbs. Some of the highways here have bumps and with these springs it shakes your teeth. I have never done suspension work so I was looking for some info.

sounds like you have an overload pack on the rear and an add a leaf up front you should be able to just take the weight off the axle loosen the u bolts and pull the extras off.what are you doin with the ones you pull off?lol i have been looking for some of those.
