Rear end bounce
It occurs at about 45 mph and seems to initiate when I hit a small bump in the roadway. Consequently, it doesn't happen all the time.
When it does occur, a little bit of gas or a little bit of brake makes it go away.
Air pressures doesn't seem to affect it. Anything from 65psi to 80 psi sees the same result.
I have new Bilstein HDs on the truck.
It doesn't feel like a balance issue.
I inspected the driveline and didn't see anything loose or any evidence of it shaking.
I took it back to NTB hoping to get a balance check and tire rotation to attempt to move or eliminate the problem.
But the "mechanic" was convinced that it was a warped rotors without ever looking at the truck much less driving it. I've felt the "shake" feedback that warped rotors gives. This is a bounce, like you feel with a cab-over, short wheel base tractor with no trailer attached and you tap the brakes.
After all that, anyone have any suggestions on where to look to solve this problem?
