Blue smoke
I searched the forums for an answer to my problem, and never really found an exact match. Since about June, I noticed blue smoke coming from the exhaust. It does not smoke when I start it or even in the first few minutes. Seems that as it gets warm, it gets worse. When I drive to work, I encounter 4 lights/stop signs. When it idles at the stop, no smoke. When I take off, I get a stream of smoke for a few seconds and then goes away (or at least is not visable). Eventually, the smoke goes away totally, probably when the truck is fully warmed, even on a hot day. I have even sat at very long lights and took off with no eveidence of smoke. I have even let it sit and idle for a few minutes, no smoke or smell of burning oil. The truck runs fine otherwise, no noise, loss of power or any other change. The truck is a 2006, 25,000 miles, CAI, Accufab elbow, Amsoil at first oil change. No prior issues with motor other than replacing a leaky o-ring 2 years ago. My guesses are CCV, turbo internal leak or just something in the airflow somewhere. I want to be armed with good information before I go to the service department.
