Head lights

I know it has been asked before, but what are the best option clear lens headlights for a 2001 superduty? Mine are horrible.

Wink

I recently swapped my '99 style ones to the '02-'04 style and they sure look much better! easy swap and no cutting of the header panel for the '05-'07s
I may very well do the '05-'07s in a few years though.
I am told unless you get OEM '02-'04s you should seek out the EAGLE EYES brand of aftermarket.

Thank you for bringing this up, I was totally unaware of any issues with the hid conversion. Now I have to do more research.
Thanks again! The last thing I want to do is make problems.

I just did the '05's in my '01.......Got everything from Dfuser, took about 3 hours to install and another day to figure out what the deal was with the Dfuser wiring harness.

I considered the '03's but I'm glad I went with the '05's, except for the wiring snaffu the install was time consuming but fairly easy.

highly recommended = my 2 cents

Me too. The time consuming part adds to beer consuming, lol.

Just a heads up, I did the 05+ headlight install in my 2002 with HIDS. I know they make 05+ headlights that fit 99-03 rigs without modification now, so you might want to look at going that route and avoid having to cut the header panel.

Also, I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for the piggyback kit from Dfuser. The eBay seller that I bought my HID kit from (cant remember the seller ID) was a high volume seller and HAD the piggy back plugs that I needed. He just mixed and matched the plugs I needed to custom fit my rigs original plugs. You might be able to do the same if you ask some of the sellers on eBay.

Just my $.02

I prefer Oem, but if there is an aftermarket that is just as good I would consider that. What would it take to install 05's in my 01, cutting, wiring, etc?
