Compatible?

My dad found a transmision and transfer case in the trading post. We wonder though if it would work because the truck it is out of has the 4.6 V8 while mine is a 5.4 V8. Its for $100. Thanks

The 4.6L uses a higher stall speed torque converter, but the rest should be the same as long as you have a 4R70W trans now (should be).

The 5.4L is backed by the 4R100 (E4OD), not the 4R70W (AODE).

Like Lxman said the difference is in the torque converters. If the transmissions are the same then you will be fine. Check the sticker on each truck to see if the transmission codes are the same.
