Power Point

I am thinking of putting a power point in the back of the console that is between the front seats. Does anyone have the part number of a good one? Also, any hints on removing the console?

Are you talking about a 12v cigarette lighter style? I would rob one from a car from the junkyard. Were you planning on having it work with the key on/off, or have it powered constantly?

What kind of truck? How much power draw would you need?

Usually through the firewall somewhere you can find a large red, constantly powered wire. I would tap off that using a relay and similar gauge wiring. Even when charging something like a laptop, there can be enough of a draw to blow fuses or melt 16gauge or smaller wire. With wiring, I usually overkill the size requirements, but thats just me.

What I left out

2006 F250 Diesel

1 Plan on running a computer 4Amps and/or a Referigerator 4 Amps

2 Thought someone had said the wiring might be already under the carpet....could not feel it...but....if not

3 Thought I could hook up the 12V power point (a sturdy one) from one of the upfitter switches

4 How do I remove the console that is between the seats?
