05 brake problem

was doing fine tonight, went to walmart and did some shopping. got in my truck, and headed out theparking lot and the peddle was hard as a brick. it was hard as heck, it wouldnt stop the truck on its own. had to put it in neutral and use e-brake and stand on pedal. got home, killed it and cranked itand now the little engine lite is on, and the brakes still dont work. its a 2005 f-150 4x4 with 5.4. what could possiably be the problem all of the sudden. master clyinder? booster? the vacumn lines are hooked up.

Since its starting to throw a CEL, I'd get that pulled and give us feedback on that.

Did your abs light come on as well?

Couldn't imagine a booster or MC going out... but I suppose the possibility exists.

What kind of milage is on your truck?

well i did research on the net and came up on a website on ford f150 lawsuits, and low and behold many people had wrecked do to the problem i had. the main vacumn line on the back of the intake had came off and it has killed numerous people. so if your brake pedal gets rock hard keep in mind of the hard as HEEEELLLLooooo vacumn line to get to on the back of the driver side intake.
