Suspension upgrades
My truck is basically stock when it comes to suspension. Just curious what the best is out there to give me a better ride.

A great setup would be to swap in a 05 front axle and the suspension...!!!
But I would just swap some bistein shocks in there and call it good...

Greg, 05 front suspension swap would probably be good for u if u could find one. Its really hard to say what would be better without spending a fortune. Talk with some of those suspension sponsors

Bilsteins are big in the Excursion forum too, but a lotta guys prefer and swear by the ride comfort produced by the adjustable Rancho RS9000XL shocks.
They use them on the soft setting for daily driving, and the stiffer settings for when they tow.
I love Bilsteins...have 'em on my Lightning and my Excursion...but I'm seriously thinking of trying them on my 250.

My 01 rode like crap too. I put an eight inch four link kit on it with coil overs and it rides much better even with big tires. I would def look for a coil over front end like the 05.

I almost bought the Skyjacker kit when I lifted mine, but they were twice as much IIRC. Wish I would have done it though, makes sense. That's what I would look into if I was going to look for a smoother ride.
