Hpx?

Is the HPX mod worth it, or a waist of money?

I have it also, and I think there is a benefit to have it on. If it is a waste of money, it ain't a lot of money. lol.

I took mine off when I installed the Stealth HPOP, but I did notice a difference without it. I'm probably going to put it back on when I get my new O-rings.

I have one on mine.No seat of the pants difference but most of the gurus here recommend them to get more oil to #8

like barry said, even if you don't notice any difference with sound or power it will help supply the #8 injector with more oil. and that is always a good thing.

I just put one on about 75 miles ago. Now that the air's been worked out of it, I'm noticing a slightly smoother idle.

My primary reason for installing it though, since I prefer to run Delo 400 15w40, was to hopefully alleviate the occasional idle romps in the winter.

I would recommend it the HPx. If you don't have the cash for a new pump this would be a highly recommend option. The biggest issue is the pressure to the #8 injector. This balances the pressure. I would recommend speaking to Clay at Riffraff Performance. He has the option of the hardline and the softline for the crossover. Here is a link at his website for the hardline:

I had the nasty romp. SO i thought the HPX would help that. Didn't. And i didn't notice any different in throttle response/injector clatter or anything. SO i was kind of disappointed. But if these folks say it helps the #8 then it was worth it to me.

SYN oil and one dead glow plug got rid of my romps.

My dad don't have the HPX. and the trucks sound identical.

My CCK cured my squacky cackle though. Dad don't have the cackle or the cck either. His purrs like a kitten as is. Wierd. I like comparing with his truck to mine. They are nearly identical. His 2000/mine 2001. Like he don't have the LL injector. Mine did untill recently i swapped mine out.

I put mine on and really forgot about it. I will be taking it off since I will be installing a new HPOP (adreniline from Deiselsite) guess its not needed any more.
did I notice much? not really, but I also run VO so that last cyclinder gets plenty of oil cause that is where I inject my VO when on it.

at least its one of the cheaper modes
