Yep.. I made sure to do that. Today I ran it the normal test route to check the temp in the warm afternoon.. it hung right around 200 -210 might have it whooped.. I might try a longer run this comming week .. the current test is about 5-9 miles at 60 mph.. of course that is not the high speed test run we did the other night...

the next run will be about 60 miles one way at interstate speeds.. 70mph. we will see I guess Im glad I have a junkyard of parts now LOL

Ok... im screwed.. LOL.. this dang truck is possessed!!! I just did my 60 mile run one way at 65mph.. 230-240 this sucks..what else could it be..??? I just acquired a bunch of trucks and cars. 351w, 302, 390, 429.. what should I do??? The engine runs great.. decent gas milage but just wont cool.. I even tried to run it without a aircleaner thinking it was restricing it somehow(its old and dirty) and thus messing up the mix.

I am leaning towards the 390 I have the ac brackets and stuff.
But its a $$$ thing.. LOL.. I might be forced to bandage up a 302.

WOW found the problem 100%.. If a truck has been sitting for 5 years no matter how clean the radiator looks.. its got crap in it.. LOL.. 60 bucks later its cleaned out and runs great.. I just made 3 runs on the highway at 80mph one pulling a 18' trailer and still cant get it to 200.. Thanks again guys for all the help!!!!
