Cali engines have Split shot injectors and a pulse damper on the fuel pump + the PCM monitors the GP system for failures.
The Fed engines don't have any of those.

How can I tell if this is a Cali truck. The vin says it was made in Kentucky. Does that help? Are the split shot injectors inferior to the others. Is a pulse damper bad. Would it be a bad thing for the PCM to monitor the GP's? I am just searching for answers. Thanks.
