I am looking at going south to pick up a new bed for my 88 F-250 4x4 4.9 I6 5 spd... The bed I am looking at is off a 95 F-150 and they are both long beds with dual tanks... to my understanding the beds should be a direct swap out right? I know the front ends changed between 1991-1992 but the beds didn't DID THEY???? Please let me know ASAP what you know!
well the bed was changed once already so the arches may be the same... I just want to make sure that it will match where it meets with the cab and the bolt pattern is the same...
The wheel arches should be the same 87-96. Any bed from this time should be a direct replacement.
Wheel arches on 80-86 trucks are squared off, and although they are also bolt-for-bolt swaps, they don't look quite right with the round front fenders.
