DynoLock - Tailgate Security

I installed the DynoLock as added tailgate security and all went well....almost.

The lock installed in the tailgate fine and it works great. I then ran the wires up to the driver's side door and up into the channel under the kick plate.

The instructions said to tap into a blue/yellow wire and a gray/blue (going by memeory on the exact colors). I could find the gray/blue wire but not the other wire. I am sure that I am supposed to tap into the door lock and the door unlock wires.

Anyone have any clues here or can advise any reference source???

Thanks

lock motor wire is gray/brown
unlock motor wire is blue/green

you should find them along the driver's door sill. Connect the Dynolock wires to them. If the Dynolock does the opposite of what your door locks do, then you just have to reverse the Dynolock wires.

My latest set of instructions says Pink/Black is lock and Red/Orange is Unlock.
Im not finding either of those.

Steve - were you able to see any voltage on the wires you used when triggering the door lock switch?

I have several blue/green wires - more of a light blue - not sure I have the right one yet.

Not much luck with the wire colors either. I assume that I am looking for positive + voltage when either lock or unlock function is triggered and that the DynoLock is negative grounded.

Should I be looking under the step plate or in the kick plate?

the remote start/alarm wiring chart also says to tap into those same wires. I actually had help when installing my remote start, so I think my installer tested those wires but I'm not sure about the voltage. But then he left those wires out in the door sill so I could find them easily for tapping in my Dynolock wires.

under the door sill plate.

My lock wire ended up being grey/brown and unlock blue/green.
There was more than one blue/green wire in the harness.

They will go to +12v momentarily.

Its working now - finally!
Jim sent me another lock - same one but the bracket was doubled and bent to align properly with the 09 latch.
