Off Topic,, Sorry. Do you have any updated pics with the new BFG tires? I am getting ready to order and would like to see a pic on a F250 like mine. You can email to tjohnson at modcomm dot com. Thanks
I have a job1 F350, and had sync installed which didn't work even after the radio was upgraded due to software incompatibility with the older trucks. The dealer recommended having it removed due to the trouble I was having. I had sync removed and installed mobile-ease which is a Ford product and will be warranted sync won't.
It works just like sync with the major exception being you have to manually download your address book, and it wont work your ipod. Pairing the phone for hands free operation was easy. Music is automatically muted when making or receiving a phone call and it comes through the sterio speakers. I have no complaints with the system.
It allows hands free operation of phone, navigation system, stereo, ipod, etc.. But the Sync functionality goes a bit further then just voice activation. Check it out here.
I've heard of people putting the head unit in the older vehicle and getting voice activation working but haven't heard of any success stories regarding getting the actual Sync functionality to work.
